Hemingway Sour

BY KYLE COOPER

Hemingway Sour

A favorite of Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald during their rambunctious days together in 1920’s Paris, this is arguably one of Hemingway’s favorite cocktails that he wrote about frequently, and more frequently, enjoyed. We recommend reading A Moveable Feast for more context.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 oz Hemingway Rye Whiskey
  • 0.75 oz Fresh Squeezed Lemon juice
  • 0.75 oz Simple Syrup

Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker over ice, shake for 30-45 seconds then strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a lemon wheel.
