Summer in Michigan

Savor the last sips of summer with this refreshing classic cocktail inspired by Hemingway’s summers spent on Walloon Lake, Michigan, where raspberries grow fresh all summer long. Use fresh berries and enjoy in the sunshine for best results.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 oz Hemingway Signature Rye Whiskey
- 8 Raspberries
- 2 Large Basil leaves
- 0.75 oz Simple syrup
- 1.0 oz Fresh Lemon juice
- 0.5 oz Domaine Canton Ginger Liqueur
- Dash of Angostura bitters
Muddle raspberries, basil and simple together in cocktail shaker then add whiskey, lemon, bitters and liqueur. Shake with ice then strain (not double strain, you still want some bits of raspberry and basil to come through) and pour over crushed ice. Garnish with another single basil leaf and 2 raspberries.
